CROWNS & BRIDGEWORK

DENTAL CROWNS, VENEERS & OTHER BRIDGEWORK

Crowns, or otherwise known as caps, completely cover the cracked, broken or decayed tooth allowing them to function normally again while giving the appearance of natural teeth. Veneers on the other hand, are a thin covering laid over and bonded to the surface of your tooth. They are made from porcelain and can be used to improve color, size, shape, alignment and spacing.

BRIDGEWORK FOR MISSING TEETH

Bridgework — Dental Bridgework in Venice, FL
Having a bridge put in place to help with the appearance of a missing tooth or teeth is an option suitable for many. Using the surrounding healthy teeth as support, a "bridge" is created to hold in place a crown where the missing tooth would be. Bridges can be used for replacing one or multiple missing teeth. CARING FOR VENEERS

Veneers have a resistance to staining, however that doesn't mean proper cleaning and care is not necessary. Just like unaltered teeth, veneers need gentle brushing and flossing every day. Even though veneers are extremely tough, avoid very hard foods and using your teeth as tools. If you are a night teeth grinder, consider finding a mouth guard suitable for you.
